Want to work for a firm taking concrete steps towards Equity & Diversity? We’re looking for an experienced Project Interior Designer to join our team in our Sacramento office.
The Interiors team works on various projects from:
- education (K-12), healthcare and civic.
- We are looking for a Project Interior Designer to lead the development of interior environments that prioritize spatial harmony, materiality, and user experience.
- If you are passionate about moving beyond standard clinical layouts to create intentional, well-anchored spaces, we want to talk.
- As a Project Interior Designer, you will… Provide technical leadership and oversight for large, complex, or multiple interior design projects.
- Lead BIM/Revit design development and construction documentation, ensuring alignment between design intent and technical execution.
- Collaborate closely with project leaders and design teams to translate concepts into clear, coordinated, and buildable solutions.
- Oversee consultant coordination, document production, and QA/QC processes.
- Manage client goals, budgets, schedules, and technical scope in partnership with the Principal in Charge.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, agency requirements, and firm technical standards.
- Mentor and delegate to Interior Designers, coaching staff in documentation, organization, and professional growth.
- Utilize advanced tools and technology to elevate design quality and project delivery.
- Contribute to proposal content and support marketing efforts with work that reflects design excellence.
- The Must-Haves Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (or equivalent) with 6+ years of interior or architectural project experience, or an Associate’s degree with 10+ years of related experience.
- Strong experience managing the technical aspects of multiple projects.
- Proficiency in BIM/Revit and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Bluebeam.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
- The Like-to-Haves LEED accreditation.
- Experience with Healthcare, Education, or Civic projects.
- Experience with Newforma, eBuilder, or similar project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff.

Salary Range:
