What You’ll Do
As a Line Cook at Trainwreck Saloon, you will :
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items consistently and to spec during lunch, dinner, and late-night service
Work multiple stations (grill, sauté, fryer, prep) while maintaining quality, speed, and cleanliness
Read and interpret work orders, mise en place, and prep sheets
Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation standards
Assist with recipe execution, portion control, and maintaining food cost targets
Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and stocked throughout service
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
Collaborate with kitchen staff, expeditors, and servers to ensure smooth service flow
Communicate shortages, issues, and equipment needs to management
Contribute ideas to specials, menu items, and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting
Comfortable cooking across multiple stations and styles
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late nights
Physical stamina — able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, work in hot environments
Excellent time management, organization, and ability to multitask
Ability to thrive in a high-energy environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Haves :
Experience in a bar / restaurant or tavern environment
Familiarity with American pub / comfort food menus
Knife skills and efficient prep techniques
Creativity and willingness to contribute to menu ideas
Ability to adapt in a busy, dynamic kitchen
