Registered Nurse
Full Time - Day Shift
3 / 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm; rotating weekends
Peak Rehabilitation Hospital is a joint-venture partnership between Duke Health, WakeMed and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health. With a shared commitment of providing high-quality, evidence-driven care, our state-of-the-art, 52-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital is dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to : The Post Acute Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Education : Associate's degree Required; Bachelor's degree Preferred; Graduate of a Credited Nursing Program
Licenses : Current RN to practice in required state
Certifications : American Heart Association BCLS; New employees that have BLS certification from another organization than American Heart Association (i.e. American Red Cross) have 30 days to complete American Heart Association version.
Skills and Abilities :
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds. Repetitive motion of upper body required for extended use of computer. Required specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Works in well-lit, ventilated and climate controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts.
In hospital environment, may be exposed to hazards and unusual elements, which may include but are not limited to bloodborne pathogens and / or contagious illnesses, toxic chemicals, and biohazardous materials which may require extensive safety precautions and the use of protective equipment.
Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and / or hospital environment.
