Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Combination of 8, 10, and 12-hour day shifts

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 1 year

License : Required to submit

Certifications : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have : Experience with mixing medications and a strong willingness to work as part of a team

Job Description :

• Work in a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab environment with a team consisting of 2 RNs, 1 Radiologic Technologist, and an RCIS or additional Radiologic Technologist.
• Perform duties in moderate sedation, charting, and circulating, with responsibilities in pre-and post-procedure areas.
• Handle emergent cases of revascularization, left and right heart catheterizations, peripheral diagnostics / intervention, cardioversion, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), device implantation, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemakers.
• Utilize electronic medical record system EPIC & Philips Xper (Hemo), with equipment including Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR / FFR, IVUS, and Rotapro.
• Collaborate with an in-house intensivist MD available 24 / 7, with cardiology MD on-call after hours.
• Participate in setting and maintaining the schedule in coordination with the team lead, including call requirements weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comply with the 20-minute call response time.
• Complete two days of unit / department-specific orientation.
• Follow the dress code with scrubs provided; bring own lock for locker and designated hospital shoes.

Additional Notes : A radiation badge is required and must be provided before the start date. Follow a radius rule of 50 miles. Candidates must not be employed in any capacity with associated facilities. Placement requests for time off must be submitted upfront, with additional time off not approved post-submission.
