The Ontario Sheet Sales Manager will be personally responsible for the management and growth of our Ontario Sheet sales and will manage and direct our US Sheet Sales team in their prospecting and selling.
Reporting to the VP of Sales Ontario the main responsibilities include managing a small sales team in the US, prospect databases, generating reports and supporting the companies growth plans.
The position also involves overseeing pricing activities, including cost estimating, bid preparation, and analyzing sales quoting activity.
The goal is to contribute to the Sheet Sales Team's success through insightful analysis and strategic pricing management, ultimately maximizing profit margins and achieving business objectives.
What you will be doing :
Sales Support Activities :
- Analysis and service of Ontario and certain US sheet plant markets.
- Manage a small sales team based in the US.
- Understand sheet plant market, their capabilities and opportunity for sales growth.
- Manage prospect database in CRM for all markets.
- Provide VP of Sales market updates monthly.
- Support Sheet Sales Team with analysis and support for growth opportunities.
Manage Pricing :
- Cost Estimating- Develop cost estimates in line with customer policies.
- Analysis of Sales Rep quoting activity Develop and maintain monthly reporting of activity by sales reps to determine wins and losses and reasons why.
Follow up with sales reps on status of quotes.
- Recommend pricing levels analyze pricing across the business and build pricing recommendations for new items.
- Communicate and manage price increases and decreases.
- Analyze scenarios and options to increase profit margin within current accounts.
What you will bring to the table :
- Four - year college degree or comparable business experience
- 3 to 4 years Customer Service / Sales experience
- Demonstrated Self-starter, ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.

- Demonstrated analytical and administrative skills.
- Ability to be promoted into future sales roles.
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is a plus.
- Experience in the corrugated box industry
