CVOR RN Job Details – Kalamazoo, MI

Location : Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048

Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) – Surgery

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026)

Shift : Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts / week (07 : 00 – 17 : 30)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2550-$2610

Call Requirement : Two overnight call shifts per week

Weekend Requirement : Two weekend shifts per contract

Holiday Requirement : Every other holiday as needed

Charting System : Cerner

Scrub Color : Provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent CVOR RN experience in a hospital setting

Prior travel nursing experience required

Active Registered Nurse license (Michigan RN license or compact state license preferred)

BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)

COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start online modules

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Deliver expert nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, assisting with complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries

Participate in call rotation, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled

Float to other hospital units or affiliate hospitals as needed based on census

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR

Adhere to infection control, safety, and universal protocols at all times

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including pharmacy, transport, and interpretation services

Provide care for patients of all ages : pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Demonstrate professionalism and uphold high standards of clinical conduct
