The X-Ray Technician - Fluoroscopy is responsible for providing radiologic films as directed by the physician and maintaining radiology equipment and supplies. This position will be doing fluoroscopy full-time. You must have an associate's degree in radiology or a related field from an accredited program. Experience in fluoroscopy preferred. Candidates must be able to ease patients into the process of taking an x-ray and be able to explain each phase of the procedure. It is also very important to keep the imaging room clean and maintain all privacy regulations. A certificate from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Responsibilities :
Typical Physical Demands : Position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, as well as manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds, as well as help lift patients onto the x-ray table. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required. Employee will work under stressful conditions and work irregular hours. Employee will be exposed to bodily fluids on a regular basis.
Typical Working Conditions : Employee will have frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
Pay Range : $35-$45 per hour
