The specialty for this position is Labor & Delivery (L&D) – High-Risk Obstetrics RN.\n\nSummary of Key Details : \n\nUnit : 14-bed L&D unit (5 triage / inpatient, 6 labor, 2 OR beds)\n\nCertifications : ACLS, NRP required; RN-BC preferred\n\nExperience : High-risk OB, C-sections, magnesium sulfate patients, fast-paced environment\n\nResponsibilities : \n\nScrub for C-sections\n\nManage high-risk OB patients\n\nPerform full assessments and own exams\n\nTasking in OB / nursery without taking primary patient assignments\n\nCharge nurse / unit leader 3 days / week\n\nSystems / Charting : Meditech & GE (dual EMR)\n\nStaffing / Support : Nurse aides, scrub techs, IV team, pharmacy 24 / 7, RT coverage\n\nShifts / Weekends : Nights; every 3rd weekend for days, Friday / Saturday for nights; travelers do not work holidays\n\nOther : Floor-specific orientation (2–3 shifts), minimum BSN, parking stipend\n\nThis role is focused on high-acuity Labor & Delivery care, with strong emphasis on OB procedural skills and independent patient management.
