Position Summary :

The Admission nurse is a professional registered nurse who serves as liaison between hospitals, physicians, other facilities, health care professionals, and insurance companies. He / she carries the primary responsibility for evaluating all patient referrals for inpatient, partial hospitalization, or outpatient services; obtaining physician approval for admissions and pre-certification. This position performs inquiries, screenings, admissions, pre-certifications, and referrals displaying expertise in crisis intervention skills and guest relations with a firm belief that the patient receives the most appropriate treatment possible.
