Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to cover a Leave of Absence (LOA) for the remainder of the school year.

The ideal candidate will work with students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services as per Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the needs of the students.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' communication abilities and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and IEP goals.
• Provide therapy services to students individually or in small groups, targeting speech, language, fluency, voice, and other communication disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and communication with stakeholders.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' educational plans.

Requirements :

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid California state license or eligibility for licensure.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in special education and speech-language pathology.
