About The Position

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS preferred

Must-Have :

• Experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Description :

Telemetry, L / D, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite, day one.

This is a PASS / FAIL test.

Holiday requests will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed.

The unit has 30 beds.

Ratios are 1 to 1-2.

90% of the time, the ratio will be 1 to 2.

Experience with trauma patients is a must.

Candidates must also have experience with neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, and ICP monitoring.

Those without this experience must have experience with post-TPA patients.

Candidates will be expected to work hard on this unit.

They must be open to asking questions or seeking help when needed.

The unit is fast-paced, and teamwork is essential.

The facility has a robust interventional radiology program.

Travelers should be friendly and adaptable.

The hospital operates a 24 / 7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy team.

Shifts are 12 hours, with schedules made out about six weeks in advance.

Floating may occur to any telemetry or medical-surgical units.

There is a one-day floor-specific orientation.

Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in the specialty.

Absolutely no candidates with less than 2 years of experience or minimal travel experience will be considered unless they have excellent prior experience in larger, fast-paced facilities.
