Position Overview

Southwestern University has an immediate opening for an Assistant Track & Field Coach . This position will report to the Head Track & Field Coach. The Assistant Track & Field Coach is responsible for supporting the comprehensive development of student-athletes through effective coaching, mentorship, and leadership. This position will contribute to the overall success of a competitive athletics program by providing expert guidance in training, recruitment, and student-athlete development. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position eligible for our comprehensive benefits program.

Essential Duties

• Deliver high-quality skill instruction and conditioning programs aligned with the standards of a successful NCAA Division III track & field program.
• Identify, recruit, and retain student-athletes who demonstrate both athletic talent and academic excellence to thrive at Southwestern University.
• Actively participate in fundraising initiatives that support the goals and needs of the track & field program.
• Ensure adherence to all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules, regulations, and policies. Serve as a positive role model and mentor, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and high ethical standards. Support classroom excellence by utilizing all available university resources in support of students.

Starting salary

$33,000. The final offer will be commensurate with experience and may exceed the starting salary.
