Cardiology - Interventional Physician

A well-established facility in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage . This position is inpatient-based with call responsibilities to support the group during provider time off. You ll work in a Level 3 trauma center with access to full cardiology resources and a robust support staff.

Location : Suffolk, VA

Coverage Dates : To Be Determined (based on provider availability)

Facility Size : 250 total beds 10 ICU beds

EMR : Epic

Position Details :

Setting : Inpatient with call

Reason for Coverage : Provider PTO (ATO)

Average Clinic Volume : 28 patients per provider

Average Inpatient Admissions : 3 4 / day

You ll be the sole interventional cardiologist on-site during coverage

Must be comfortable supervising Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)

Patient Demographic : Adult & Geriatric

Required Procedures :

Balloon Angioplasties

Coronary Angioplasty

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

Heart Catheterizations

Coronary Angiograms

Embolic Protection

Carotid Artery Stenting

Submission Requirements :

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology REQUIRED

Active VA Medical License & DEA REQUIRED

BLS / ACLS Certification REQUIRED
