Transmission Line Engineer

The Transmission Line Engineer / PLS CADD Subject Matter Expert is responsible for managing and executing the design portion of transmission line engineering projects. The ideal candidate would be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and be a proactive and self-motivated employee who can think critically and learn concepts quickly.

Responsibilities

• Generate transmission line deliverables including route alignment drawings, sag charts, stringing charts, loading diagrams, foundation drawings
• Interface with internal and external teams to resolve technical challenges
• Provide mentorship and training to less experienced engineers in PLS-CADD and transmission line design
• Drive the design aspects of a transmission line project and identify technical challenges
• Understand client specifications and design requirements and communicate those to others
• Keep up with software and technology trends relating to transmission line design and look for ways to continuously improve the workflow
