By-appointment-only schedule – no emergency walk-ins or unpredictable caseloads No weekends or on-call shifts – enjoy your time outside of work Collaborative, positive culture – work alongside experienced surgical and anesthesia professionals who value teamwork, mentorship, and continued learning Growth opportunities – gain hands-on experience in advanced surgical procedures and perioperative care in a specialty environment Key Responsibilities Assist surgeon during soft tissue, orthopedic, and minimally invasive surgical procedures Prepare surgical suites and equipment, ensuring sterile and efficient setups Induce, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia following established protocols Perform pre- and post-operative patient care, including IV catheter placement, bloodwork, medication administration, and patient monitoring Maintain accurate patient records and communication with referring veterinarians Support inventory management, instrument care, and overall hospital flow Provide compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members Required Qualifications Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program or equivalent experience Florida Veterinary Technician License (CVT, LVT, or RVT) or eligibility to obtain Minimum 2 years of experience in general practice or specialty veterinary medicine Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, patient restraint, and surgical preparation Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills Preferred Skills & Experience Prior experience in surgical or anesthesia specialty practice Advanced knowledge of anesthetic monitoring equipment and pain management protocols Comfort with advanced medical record systems and inventory management software Interest in continued education and professional growth within the surgical field Benefits PEAK Veterinary Surgery is committed to supporting the health, well-being, and future of our team members.
