Instructional System Designer - Government

Overview

Instructional System Designer - Government is a full-time temporary position within FranklinCovey, reporting to the Managing Director, Government. The role involves creating live, e-learning and video instructional content for a fast-paced, matrixed federal organization. The position is hybrid (1-2 days / week in-person in the Greater Washington D.C. area) for a six-month period with the potential for extension based on performance.

Responsibilities

The person will :

• Create live, e-learning and video instructional content to meet subject matter requirements
• Develop course materials for instructor-led trainings : slide decks, facilitator guides, participant guides, etc.
• Design web-based trainings and instructional videos with other materials for specific training purposes
• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts; receive, interpret and implement feedback
• Write, review, and edit storyboards
• Apply the ADDIE process and Kirkpatrick’s four levels of evaluation
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities with strong organizational skills

Location & Status

Location : Hybrid – Greater Washington D.C. area (anticipated 1-2 days / week in-person). Status : Full-Time Temporary Hourly. Reports to : Managing Director, Government.

Salary : Anticipated $43-45 / hour. Expected 6-month period of performance with potential extension.
