Job descriptionBeginning 11 / 18 / 2025 Duration : 26 weeks Potential for extension based on facility needs Patient Demographics : Adults, geriatrics Patient Volume / Census : 12–15 patients per day Admissions : Yes, inpatient consults as needed Rounding : Yes, inpatient consults included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Hematology and Oncology, new referral patients included Procedures : Bone marrow biopsies referred to Interventional Radiology Facility Type : Critical Access, clinic + hospital Beds : 219 Trauma Level : Adult Level II / III / IV EMR System : ONCO EMR (clinic), Cerner (hospital) Specialty Backup Available : Oncology team Support Staff Available : Director of oncology and infusion services, clinical RN supervisor, support staff supervisor, 9 oncology RNs, 2 nurse navigators, 4 medical assistants, clerical staff, pharmacist, and pharmacy tech Reason for Coverage : Ongoing coverage need Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (temps granted; full privileges 60–90 days) Credentialing Timeline : 60–90 days Compliance Requirements : Standard immunizations and credentialing documentation required Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Coverage TBD Outpatient hematology / oncology management. Inpatient consults as needed. Bone marrow biopsies handled by Interventional Radiology. Licenses : Active Pennsylvania license required; IMLC accepted Board : Board Certified in Hematology / Oncology DEA : Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS required Experience : Minimum 1–2 years preferred Other Qualifications : Ability to work with interdisciplinary oncology care team Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology / oncology care. Manage 12–15 patients daily in outpatient clinic. Conduct inpatient consults and coordinate care with hospital teams. Collaborate with nursing staff, medical assistants, navigators, and pharmacy. Participate in scheduled clinic and hospital duties Monday – Friday, 8a – 4 : 30p. Share in call rotation as assigned, including inpatient coverage and callbacks.
