We are currently looking for an experienced Asset Management Analyst to join our team in our Los Angeles office. The position will support the Asset Management team and be responsible for various facets related to the life cycle of residential developments. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, this position has the following key responsibilities :
- Assist in reviewing monthly financial and operating reports to measure how property and portfolio performance aligns with budgets and business plans;
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing property and portfolio performance relative to budget, internal and external benchmarks, and established goals;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Resmarks senior executives, asset managers, development partners, sales brokers, property management personnel, market consultants and other third parties;
- Conduct market research on current residential market conditions, prepare market charts, analyze pricing trends, and present findings to team members;
- Engage with developer partners and participate in property site visits;
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Candidates for this position should have the following experience / skills :
Minimum two years of analytical experience in the residential or commercial real estate sectors; underwriting, operations and finance experience desirable;Four-year undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, or real estate;Very strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and proficiency in other basic computer applications;An understanding of financial modeling including cash flows, real estate valuation techniques, IRR calculation and ability to prepare various economic scenarios;Strong interest in real estate and real estate finance; basic knowledge of real estate terms and principles of real estate finance;An understanding of financial statements, loan documents and other real estate related documents;Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuasively communicate and clearly articulate positions.Candidates should also have the following qualities :
