POSITION SUMMARY
- The Estimating Assistant is responsible for assisting the Estimating Coordinator and staff with Bid process including project set up and turn in, Project search, and general estimating tasks and Coordination. The Estimating Assistant is responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating, daily construction management activities.

Assists the Estimating Coordinator and Estimating Staff with Bid Set -up and follows Bid Set up process.Download bid documentsPrint Documents and SpecificationsSet up bid and specification bindersSet up project foldersSet up project on Bid Manager SoftwareDownload and Process AddendumsSet up Bid Summary Spreadsheet TemplatesAssist with Minority Business Outreach if applicableAssist with Bid Day tasks and set-up as required by the Bid Day process.Prepare Bid Forms / Support Estimating Coordinator with Preparation of Bid FormsResponsible to perform Manufacturer Outreach as requested by Estimator / Coordinator.Prepare Post-Bid Submission Deliverables, such as Minority Business PaperworkAssist with Project search on Bid Boards in both MD and VA, and through reporting services and manages go / no-go listResponsible to review possible bids with Estimating Coordinator or Estimating Director.Other job related duties as assignedEDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs, primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Occasional standing and walking are required. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Employee must be able to climb stairs and ladders for site access and occasionally tolerate exposure to heights during jobsite visits.
