Director & Sr Corporate Counsel (Government & Trade)

Responsibilities
- Support all ongoing activities related to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC country‑specific regulations.
- Conduct internal investigations.
- Assist in company‑wide compliance programs and initiatives and special projects that support and enhance Cadence’s trade compliance program initiatives.
- Partner and collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Finance, Sales, and R&D, providing legal advice and guidance on various matters involving U.S. export controls.
Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of EAR, ITAR, and OFAC.Experience managing inquiries and engagements with U.S. government regulators.Resourceful self‑starter with excellent organizational, problem‑solving, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.Highly team‑oriented with a sense of humor, an open mind, and the ability to adapt quickly to change in a fast‑paced environment.5+ years of attorney experience in law firms and / or in‑house with multinational corporations.Experience in software or technology industries is desirable; willingness to travel occasionally.J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.We’re doing work that matters. The annual salary range for California is $176,400 to $327,600. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation : bonus, equity, and benefits.
