About The Position

License : Must have a state nursing license in hand prior to start date.

Certifications : BCLS

Must-Have :

• Must be flexible with weekend requirements.
• Must be able to work 50% of weekends during the contract.
• Must be willing to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU).
• Must have experience in telemetry and IV start.

Description :

The position requires the ability to work nights on a 3x12 hour shift basis.

Travelers must be capable of precepting and / or being assigned students to shadow during the assignment.

Call-ins for contracted shifts will be managed according to specific protocols.

Travelers should expect to provide charge nurse coverage as needed with appropriate training and resources.

The unit provides care for patients with cardiovascular surgical conditions, peripheral vascular surgical needs, arrhythmias, endocarditis, and CHF exacerbations.

Expect interdisciplinary support from various teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.

Unit staffing ratios are typically 1 : 5-6.

All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as operational needs dictate.

Candidates must agree to meet all floating requirements during the assignment.

A minimum of 2 supervisor references will be required.
