Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Commercial Sales Representative to lead business development efforts within the Greater Indianapolis territory. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys networking, cultivating partnerships, and developing repeat business opportunities. You’ll represent Legacy Painting as the face of our brand—building meaningful relationships and helping clients find solutions that add value to their properties and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a proactive business development strategy to grow Legacy Painting’s commercial client base
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility directors, general contractors, business owners and other key decision-makers
- Identify new project opportunities through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events
- Conduct site visits, gather project details, and collaborate with estimating and operations teams to prepare accurate proposals
- Follow up on bids, negotiate contracts, and manage the client relationship
- Track pipeline activity, client communications, and follow-up
- Represent Legacy Painting at trade shows, association meetings, and community events to strengthen brand visibility
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities and market trends
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in commercial construction, coatings, or property services)Strong understanding of the commercial construction or property management industryProven ability to build and sustain long-term client relationshipsExcellent communication, presentation, and networking skillsStrong organizational and follow-up abilitiesFamiliarity with construction bidding processes a plusProficient with Microsoft OfficeSelf-motivated with a proven ability to meet deadlines and goalsSelf-starter with a strong work ethic and professional demeanorValid driver’s license and meets insurance requirements to insureCompensation & Benefits
