Part-time Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll and ensure timely payments
- Generate and send customer invoices; apply payments and follow up on overdue balances
- Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Post journal entries and manage recurring transactions
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet)
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial reports to management
- Ensure compliance with sales / use tax and other regulatory filings
- Assist with general office tasks such as filing, scanning, and document organization
- Maintain accurate and secure financial and administrative records
- Support scheduling, correspondence, and supply management as needed
- Assist company leadership with ad hoc administrative or operations projects
Requirements of the Accounting Specialist
Degree in accounting, business, or related field is preferred but not requiredMinimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experienceProficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft ExcelStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasksProfessional, positive attitude with excellent communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksExperience in administrative support or office operations is a plusIndustry experience (transportation / logistics) is a bonusHumanix is an Equal Opportunity Employer and diversity candidates are encouraged to apply.
