Location : Seattle, WA (In-office or Remote) OR 100% remote, however, must reside in these states to work remotely : Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, Washington, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Montana, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Georgia, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Nebraska, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, and Alabama.

Role Summary :
The Client Services Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of client financial services and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.
This role includes :
General Accounting : GL management, balance sheet, and reconciliationsFinancial Reporting : Preparation of reconciled statements and compliance with policiesPayroll : Oversight of processing and reportingAccounts Receivable & Accounts Payable : Managing collections, payments, and vendor / client relationshipsClient Onboarding & Accounting Cleanup : Transitioning new accounts and resolving historical discrepanciesYou will ensure financial reports are accurate, compliant, and delivered to clients according to deadlines while building strong client relationships and leading a high-performing accounting team.Duties and Responsibilities :
Oversee the general accounting function, including inter / intra-company accounting, cash management, reconciliation, financial reporting, and balance sheet managementLead client relationships, ensuring clear communication and timely deliverablesEvaluate and optimize departmental efficiency, removing obstacles to productivityEnsure internal controls and policies are in place to protect company assetsDevelop and improve accounting policies and procedures for greater efficiencyProvide technical accounting guidance and support to all client entitiesManage client onboarding, including driving cleanup and transition effortsPerform accounting tasks at both detailed and high-level scopesEnsure timely and accurate application of revenue recognition rulesMaintain company financial records in compliance with policiesReview account reconciliations and other documents for complianceSupervise federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements, including payroll, property, sales, and use taxesParticipate in process improvement initiatives to ensure accounting requirements are metBuild and lead a team of qualified financial personnel to meet organizational objectivesDrive team development and performance managementRequired Degree / Licenses :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting requiredCPA preferredRequired Experience :
7+ years of public accounting and / or private industry accounting in a multidivisional businessPublic accounting manager experience qualifies for required experiencePrior management experience requiredRestaurant industry experience preferredStrong knowledge of debits / credits, internal controls, and financial reportingDemonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teamsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work independently and achieve company objectivesExperience in analyzing business performance and financial planning, preferably in the restaurant industryAlternate Titles :
