Senior Director Part Out Materials
The Senior Director Part Out Materials will oversee the material strategy and execution of the vehicle part recovery program to include part warehousing, inventory control, supplier oversight and management and part sales & distribution. This position reports to the Executive Vice President and is based in Atlanta, GA. Starting salary is $160K; commensurate with experience.
What You'll Do
- Oversee warehousing of materials harvested from vehicles inducted into the part out program. Build and maintain the master inventory database and set fair market values for each part
- Build and execute an inventory accuracy program. Orchestrate physical inventory audits, manage cycle counts and report inventory accuracy metrics
- Create and execute a process for internal inventory consumption. Partner with Technical Operations, Collisions and other stakeholders to establish the primacy of part out inventory
- Build a 3rd party sales network to sell part out inventory. Set pricing, adjust fair market values, build sales channels and drive industry visibility
- Administer the cataloging and warehousing of harvested parts - owns the master catalog / data standards, inventory control & accuracy, and ongoing storage optimization
- Utilize Hertz fleet applications, Oracle, Microsoft 365 and other applications
- Collaborate with Fleet Management, Finance, Accounting, Technical Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain Management and other stakeholders
- Provide estimates, set goals, manage budgets and execute project plans
- Develop team members, manage performance and create a collaborative and performance-driven work environment
What We're Looking For
10 years minimum in asset management, inventory control or related fieldBachelor's degree in business with focus in operations management, economics, finance or supply chain management. M.B.A preferredMust have strong financial skills with expert proficiency in financial analysis, asset management and decision modelingMust have good knowledge of the automotive parts industry with ability to source suppliers, negotiate terms and manage performanceMust have expert IT skills with experience with inventory control and management systems, ERP and material tracking platforms. Oracle experience preferredMust be process-oriented and a disciple of continuous improvement with strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Theory of ConstraintsMust be an effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels across multiple functions and organizationsMust be a problem solver, goal-oriented and flexible with ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations with little oversightMust be a courteous and accountable leader with ability to organize, prioritize, delegate to build and inspire a diverse, high-performing, results-oriented, and highly engaged teamMust be a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and leverage critical thinking and decision-making skillsWhat You'll Get
