Overview

We are looking for a Staff Data Analyst with strong FinOps (Cloud Financial Operations) experience to support our Data Platform / Engineering teams. The ideal candidate should bring both technical data skills and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, product, and finance teams to analyze cloud spend (AWS / GCP / Azure or equivalent) and identify optimization opportunities.
• Build dashboards, reports, and cost allocation models for chargeback / showback.
• Track and forecast cloud usage (compute, storage, networking) and align with business / LOB needs.
• Perform deep dive analysis on usage anomalies, budget overruns, and ROI of infrastructure programs.
• Support quarterly / annual planning with insights into capacity and cost drivers.
• Strong SQL and data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Hands-on with cloud cost and billing data (e.g., AWS CUR, GCP Billing Export, Azure Cost Management).
• Experience with FinOps practices like tagging, cost allocation, budgeting / forecasting, and efficiency reporting.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R) for automation / analysis is a plus.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field.
