Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Newport Coast, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will perform routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to tenants and visitors. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment, while embodying Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative culture. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, along with responding appropriately during emergencies.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations throughout the commercial real estate location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address any security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with property management, tenants, and local authorities as needed to support security-related needs and maintain a secure environment.
  • Assist in implementing emergency response procedures and provide direction to occupants during evacuation or other critical events.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
