2585 - Junior Software Engineer

GENERAL DUTIES :

This position will research and develop software applications to be used on a variety of platforms, focusing on secure infrastructures.

You will be an integral part of an agile team, building new and exciting capabilities for enabling next-generation communications and security capabilities for our customers.

You will learn rapidly and apply your problem-solving skills to building cutting-edge software for emerging cyber technologies.

In addition, you will :

• Write and review source code written in Rust and Python
• Design and optimize software functions to meet evolving customer needs
• Build proofs-of-concept and prototypes for new ideas and technologies
• Create and maintain software documentation (Readme files, user guides, architecture and data flow diagrams, etc.)
• Collaborate with our R&D teams as they create solutions for the hard problems within the company’s technical focus areas
• Technical Focus Areas :
• Computer, network, and software security
• Applied cryptography
• Cross-domain solutions
• Distributed systems
• Virtual machine and container orchestration
• API development
• System integration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar; or equivalent professional experience
• Languages : High proficiency in a language such as C, C#, Python, Java, or Rust
• Operating Systems : Linux, UNIX
• Strong demonstrable software engineering and problem solving skills
• 1-5 years of experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Network programming experience
• Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of computer and network security
• Experience developing and deploying software in containerized environments
• Familiarity with agile development processes

CLEARANCE :

• US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a clearance
