Programmer

The programmer writes codes to automate power driven machines that cut and finish metal, wood, or plastic such as lathes, grinders, mills, and punch presses.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Interact with Engineers, Sales, and Sales Coordinators to write programs and / or modify existing ones.
• Make calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
• Translate instructions into a (CAM) program.
• Analyze job orders and perform necessary calculations.
• Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
• Ability to read and understand blue technical drawings.
