Engineering And Asset Management Division Manager
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Engineering and Asset Management Division Manager in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year. Under limited supervision, plans, organizes, manages, and directs subordinate managers and staff responsible for utility planning, design, construction and asset management within Utility Services; serves as the lead engineering professional for the Department of Utility Services; and performs related duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be a proven water/wastewater engineer and leader with extensive experience mitigating operational, legal, regulatory, financial, and environmental risks through integrated asset management programs and appropriate prioritization of capital projects to support replacement/ renewal of assets, capacity improvements, reliability improvements, growth, and redundancy projects to maintain technical excellence and industry best practice.
Salary and Benefits: Competitive Salary Range of $127,924.12 - $191,886.18 annually; salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or closely related field. Ten (10) years of (post-license) professional utilities engineering planning, design, construction, asset management, and/or closely related functions in a large water/wastewater utility, five (5) years of which were at the manager/supervisory level. Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered. Valid registration as a Professional Engineer with the State of Nevada or the ability to obtain this registration through reciprocity within one (1) year of hire. Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483. Desirable: Master's Degree in Engineering, Public Administration, or related field.
