Job Summary / Purpose
Continuous Improvement (CI) is a key priority in our journey to be the Premier Utility. In 2020, a centralized function was established, responsible for increasing adoption of continuous improvement practices at Entergy to maximize sustainable value for our four stakeholders.
The CI Operating Model consists of an Office of Strategy Management, CI Delivery, Intelligent Automation Center, and a CI Business Partner focus to enable opportunities to maximize end-to-end value across the companys Operations, Nuclear, Utility, Corporate, and CBS business functions.
The role of *Supervisor, Intelligent Automation Delivery* reports to the *Manger, Intelligent Automation Delivery* within the Continuous Improvement business function.
This position will have responsibility for managing multiple ongoing automation projects and execution of enterprise automation strategies in support of CI Project Roadmaps.
The Delivery Supervisor will lead a team of developers throughout the end-to-end automation development processes including opportunity assessment, development, testing, and deployment.
As a critical unit within the Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence, delivery of automated processes is paramount, focused on solutioning for the business (RPA, Low Code, AI, ML, Cognitive).
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Actively promote strong safety behaviors, utilizing key tools such as Close Call / Good Catch in addition to proactive field visits to review standards and behaviors
- Oversee technical architecture, development, testing, and delivery across multiple automation projects
- Maintain and manage a flexible team of developers that will be deployed to support Continuous Improvement Automation efforts
- Develop employees and provide an opportunity for personal and professional growth by coaching, strategically delegating responsibilities, and encouraging ongoing learning opportunities
- Lead a team of developers to create and configure automation bots per a Process Definition Document while ensuring established design principles, best practices and conventions are met
- Problem solve issues that arise in day-to-day execution of automated processes and provide timely responses / solutions as required
- Work closely with multiple business units to understand the functional and technical design requirements for automation.
Work collaboratively with IT and other automation teams to confirm viability of prioritized opportunities
- Report status, blockers and risks to team and leadership on a regular basis
- Partner with the IA Leadership team to provide feedback and insights into IA strategy and processes
Minimum Requirements
Education : Bachelors degree in a technical, operational, and / or business-related field required and minimum 8+ years of professional experience.
In lieu of degree minimum 12+ years of professional experience is required.
Experience : 5+ years of specific work experience with track record of success.
