Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology - LSSP) to join our team.

The School Psychologist will provide specialized expertise and consultation in both psychology and education. This role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to ensure that every child learns in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.

The School Psychologist will play a key role in consultations, assessments, team problem-solving, and education, offering specialized expertise to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed within the school setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments (FIE) to identify student needs and report findings to parents.
  • Draft and develop applicable components of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) in collaboration with the educational team.
  • Serve as a vital member of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee (ARDC).
  • Complete thorough assessments and write detailed reports to support student development and educational planning.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers, parents, and school staff on a variety of mental health and educational concerns.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other educators and mental health professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications :

  • Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) certification.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and mental health professionals.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education.
