Job Title : Enterprise Application Lead Engineer Location : Springfield, Massachusetts Experience Required : 12+ Years Employment Type : Contract Interview Type : In-Person or Webcam Job Description We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Lead Engineer to oversee the design, development, integration, and support of enterprise-level business applications. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on experience working across complex systems, application modernization initiatives, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will guide architecture decisions, lead development efforts, and ensure enterprise platforms meet performance, security, and scalability standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications and integrated systems. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and vendors to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Oversee system integrations, application deployment, upgrades, and performance improvements. Provide leadership and mentorship to development teams while establishing best practices and coding standards. Evaluate new technologies, tools, frameworks, and application modernization opportunities. Manage Enterprise Application lifecycle including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Ensure security, compliance, and quality assurance across all application implementations. Troubleshoot complex issues and provide long-term resolution strategies. Prepare technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and status reports. Coordinate with project managers to define timelines, resource plans, and deliverables. Required Skills and Qualifications 12+ years of experience in enterprise application engineering, development, and solution delivery. Strong expertise with enterprise software platforms and application integration methodologies. Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise technology stacks such as .NET, Java, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow, or similar. Knowledge of APIs, web services (REST / SOAP), middleware, ESB, microservices, and integration tools. Solid understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and SQL. Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive high-impact solutions. Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with Agile and DevOps environments along with CI / CD pipelines and version control tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
