Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist

As a Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing and coordinating sea export shipments. Your responsibilities will include opening export files, preparing internal documentation, updating shipment statuses, and advising customers on arrival details. Coordinate closely with the operations team to manage the full shipment process, including arranging pick-up or inland transportation, booking, preparing export documentation, and ensuring accurate tracking and tracing to destination. Ensure proactive communication with vendors, shippers, customers, carriers, and Kuehne+Nagel overseas offices throughout the shipment lifecycle, ensuring optimal routing decisions aligned with customer requirements. Negotiate competitive rates with service providers to optimize cost efficiency and support overall profitability. Maintain up-to-date SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and detailed customer profiles, including key contacts, special handling requirements, contract rates, and preferred routing, services, and carriers. Support overseas offices by contributing to quote preparation as needed, ensuring timely and accurate responses aligned with customer and operational requirements. Regularly monitor and review updates and resources published on Kuehne+Nagel's intranet to stay informed on company policies, procedures, and operational changes. Promptly escalate any operational issues, disputes, or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor, manager, or leadership team to ensure timely resolution and maintain workflow integrity. Follow established Quality Management Work Instructions and procedures to ensure compliance with operational standards and safety protocols. Address and resolve issues related to client requirements, data entry accuracy, and general customer service inquiries, including tracking and tracing shipments, to ensure a seamless customer experience. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring alignment with client-specific SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and contractual terms.
