CAPEX Engineer – Full-Time
Location : Tennessee Industry : Manufacturing / Industrial / Engineering Schedule : Full-Time | 1st Shift
️ Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) Engineer to manage and oversee capital improvement projects within our manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on evaluating, planning, and executing capital projects to improve plant efficiency, equipment reliability, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate combines engineering expertise, project management skills, and financial insight to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and manage capital expenditure projects from conception through completion
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and finance teams to identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments for proposed projects
- Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment and systems
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for management review
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve project-related technical issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering with exposure to capital projectsStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning for capital projectsFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, plant equipment, and automation systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and project management softwareExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills⭐ Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Professional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement initiativesKnowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standardsCompensation & Benefits
