We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who can serve as a technical leader and subject-matter expert across a wide range of manufacturing programs. This position supports clients in aerospace, automotive, and defense sectors, helping define future-state manufacturing strategies and improve production capabilities.
What You'll Do
Lead development of standardized manufacturing solutions used across commercial and defense programs.
Drive automation and test new manufacturing systems to enhance production performance.
Conduct DFMEA and PFMEA assessments to identify and mitigate design and process risks.
Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and data to anticipate future manufacturing needs.
Collaborate with suppliers and lead APQP activities including PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP.
Execute technical project work related to Industry 4.0, model-based enterprise, digital factory initiatives, advanced manufacturing, and additive manufacturing.
Produce clear technical reports, analyses, and documentation.
Review manufacturing procedures to identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
Develop process strategy documentation outlining technical changes and improvements.
Facilitate communication between customers and internal engineering teams to support continuous improvement.
Mentor and coordinate junior engineering staff in alignment with project leadership.
Track project schedules and deliverables, ensuring goals are met.
Take ownership of issues and drive timely corrective actions.
Lead small engineering teams with minimal oversight.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
4+ years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong GD&T knowledge.
Familiarity with PPAP (up to Level 5).
Experience with assembly / testing of machined, cast, forged, or fabricated aerospace components.
Background in design for manufacturing, assembly, cost, and reliability.
Strong organizational and project-management skills.
Expertise in PFMEA and control plan development and review.
Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 50% based on client needs.
Must be clearable and US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years leading engineering teams or managing engineering projects.
Experience with additive manufacturing or electronics manufacturing.
LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar process certifications.
Familiarity with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project).
