Advertising Senior Account Executive Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) Sales : New York, NY

As we continue to scale our Western Union Media Network (WUMN), we're looking for a high-performing DOOH Senior Account Executive to drive revenue growth and deliver impactful digital out-of-home advertising campaigns in high-traffic urban and retail environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for securing new advertising partners, managing relationships with key clients, and activating demand across WUMN's digital out-of-home (DOOH) channels including urban panels and place-based digital screens located in high-footfall retail locations.

This is a revenue-driving, client-facing sales role that requires a deep understanding of the DOOH ecosystem, including programmatic partners (e.g. Vistar, PlaceExchange, Broadsign), retail media buying, and audience targeting. The ideal candidate will have a strong rolodex of DOOH agency buyers and brand-direct clients, especially in local and regional markets, and be adept at building integrated media campaigns that align with advertiser goals. Experience working with retail-based digital networks is highly preferred.

Role Responsibilities :

Business Development & Sales :

  • Prospect, pitch, and secure new advertising partnerships across national, regional, and local accounts.
  • Develop and execute a personal sales strategy to grow revenue across WUMN's DOOH footprint.
  • Cultivate demand through direct client outreach, agency relationships, and programmatic platform engagement.
  • Collaborate with DOOH SSPs and DSPs, managing partner relationships and driving monetization opportunities.
  • Achieve and / or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Account Management & Relationship Building :

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to clients, educating them on the value of DOOH in retail media and commerce marketing.
  • Collaborate with AdOps, Data Strategy, and Marketing teams to build solutions aligned with client objectives.
  • Provide regular campaign insights, performance updates, and optimization recommendations.
  • Campaign Development & Execution :

  • Respond to RFPs and media briefs with data-informed proposals and innovative creative ideas.
  • Advise on audience targeting, measurement, and cross-channel integration.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign delivery, pacing, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and forecasts in CRM systems.
  • Role Requirements :

  • 5-8 years of experience in DOOH advertising sales, with 23 years focused on digital, programmatic, or retail media.
  • Proven success in new business development and key account growth.
  • Existing relationships with DOOH-focused agencies, buyers, and brands is a must.
  • Familiarity with selling media in or around physical retail environments.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, collaborative environment.
  • Deep understanding of the DOOH landscape, including programmatic buying, SSP / DSP relationships, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and media planning platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, media, or a related field.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Prior roles at companies like GSTV, Grocery TV, Atmosphere, or other retail-based DOOH providers.
  • Experience working with or through platforms like Vistar, PlaceExchange, or Broadsign.
  • Knowledge of multicultural marketing or audiences is a plus.

    Salary : The base salary is $120,000 - $145,000 USD per year. Total on target compensation combines base salary with a high-impact commission structure that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
