Travel Nurse RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - $3,483 per week

Bestica is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in San Diego, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients across multiple critical care units. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient care. Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely patient documentation. Maintain competencies in pediatric critical care procedures, equipment, and evidence-based practices. Respond swiftly to patient changes and emergencies with appropriate interventions. Provide patient and family education and emotional support. Requirements License : Active RN license in the state of assignment (or compact license). Experience : Minimum 2 years recent experience in PICU or CVICU with floating experience. Certifications : BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required Charting : Must have hands-on EPIC charting experience. Preferred : Travel nursing or previous float pool experience. Trauma : Must have recent experience working in a Level I Trauma environment. Qualifications Experience : Minimum 2 years in PICU or strong CVICU background with prior floating experience. Licensure : Active RN license (state or compact). Certifications : BLS – Basic Life Support PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support Systems : Proficiency with EPIC charting is required. Preferred : Previous travel nurse or float pool experience.
