Minnesota Licensed Intake Specialist

A company is looking for an Intake Reimbursement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Verify insurance benefits, identify coverage issues, and manage the intake and authorization process for pharmacy services

Resolve issues with payers and provide expertise to other departments regarding reimbursement practices

Serve as a resource for staff and physicians about pharmacy services and maintain knowledge of payer requirements

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting or with revenue cycle, health insurance, or benefits experience using enterprise software

Revenue Cycle Certification (HFMA - CRCR) or Pharmacy certification; equivalent experience may substitute for certification

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, healthcare, or a related field is preferred

2 years of experience in revenue cycle or health insurance within a complex healthcare organization is preferred

Nationally certified pharmacy technician credentials are preferred
