Vice President, Corporate Development

We are seeking a Vice President, Corporate Development to play a pivotal role in shaping our growth strategy and advancing our mission through acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and other strategic investments.
As a key advisor to the executive team and Board, the VP, Corporate Development will drive long-term value creation, expanding our portfolio in alignment with patient service priorities and organizational objectives.
Remote opportunity with 1025% travel. We welcome candidates in the Eastern or Central Time Zone, with a preference for those near Greater Philadelphia, New Jersey, or Indianapolis area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define and execute corporate development strategy in alignment with organizational and private equity sponsor objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physician groups, intermediaries, advisors, brokers, investment banks, and other industry stakeholders.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and joint ventures opportunities across healthcare services, technology, and adjacent markets.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities to support long-term growth priorities
Transaction Execution :
Lead the full-deal lifecycle, including valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing.Partner cross-functionally with legal, finance, clinical, and operational teams to ensure rigorous evaluation of opportunities.Present comprehensive recommendations and business cases to the CEO, CFO, CDO, and Board.Manage third-party advisors to ensure efficient and effective deal execution.Value Realization & Integration :
Support post-acquisition integration planning, ensuring cultural alignment, operational synergies, and value capture.Inform and collaborate with senior leadership and functional teams to drive performance of acquired entities.Establish and monitor KPIs to measure transaction success and report regularly to executive leadership.Market & Competitive Analysis :
Monitor industry trends, payer / provider dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform strategy.Provide data-driven insights into risks and opportunities to executive leadership and Board.Team & Stakeholder Management :
Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Clinical, HR, and IT to align initiatives with company goals.Mentor and develop members of the Corporate Development team.Function as trusted advisor to senior leadership, guiding decision-making and portfolio strategy.Please note that this position outline is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this job. Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, economics, or related field required.10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting with significant healthcare exposure.Proven track record of originating and executing complex M&A transactions, partnerships, or joint ventures within healthcare systems highly preferred.Experience with physician practice management (PPM) or health system M&A strongly preferred.Background in private equity-backed healthcare businesses highly desirable.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, including board-level reporting.Deep knowledge of healthcare economics, reimbursement models, and regulatory environment.Demonstrated leadership ability with cross-functional stakeholders and high-performing teams.Skills & Attributes :
