Accounts Payable Associate Accountant - Entry Level - HYBRID TELEWORK

While this is a hybrid role, the selected candidate must be local to the Milwaukee area to come on-site when needed.

THE WORK
We are seeking a self-motivated Entry Level Accounts Payable Associate Accountant who is looking for a challenging work environment.
Selected individual will be responsible for processing accounts payable, responding to supplier inquiries, investigating aged payables and other projects as assigned.
Specific responsibilities include :
- Processing inventory and non-inventory invoices into IFS (ERP system)
- Resolving aged payables
- Responding to supplier inquiries
- Follow up on aged checks and unclaimed property
- 1099 reporting
- Daily bank tie-out
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Resolving purchase price variances with supply chain management
- Monitors and processes incoming e-mail inquiries into the AP Team group mailboxes
- Enters purchase requisitions into IFS in support of the Derco Maintenance Team
- Backup or assists in preparing customer packets
- Supports Finance Department Leadership as well as department goals and objectives by successfully completing other duties and projects as assigned

Desired skills
- Ability to quickly obtain a working knowledge of the ERP system
- Experience processing and resolving accounts payable issues
- Systems, tools and technology savvy including all other Microsoft Office products, online tools and PDF editing software
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve and make recommendations for improvement
