Exempt Position
260 Days, 8 hours per day
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Processing payroll on a regular basis, including but not limited to processing timesheets, contracts and miscellaneous pay
- Process payroll deductions
- Enter and maintain accurate payroll data in the payroll system
- Prepare and distribute employee paychecks, direct deposits, and earnings statements
- Process, in cooperation with the Assistant Treasurer, monthly, quarterly, fiscal year and calendar year end closing reports
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies
- Maintain employee payroll files and records in compliance with retention policies
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status
- Other duties as assigned by the Treasurer
QUALIFICATIONS :
Prerequisites of this position, which may include, but not limited to,
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, Associates or Bachelor's Degree in accounting preferredExperience in payroll processingProficient in computer applications with strength in ExcelExperience using Powerschool ERP desiredKnowledge of IRS reportingClerical skills, including the ability to maintain accurate documentation for auditing purposesAbility to communicate, work collaboratively, professionally and proficiently with staffMaintain confidentialityStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent attendance record requiredCOMPENSATION RANGE : Per Exempt Salary Schedule
