Job description

The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center is actively seeking an Anesthesiologist to join us in our mission to provide Veterans with the world-class benefits and services they have earned.

Highlights :

  • General Anesthesia with care team model : primarily medically directing Anesthesia Residents and CRNA's
  • Full or part time with benefit options
  • Diverse case load with teaching opportunities
  • Cardiac case opportunity for those qualified
  • Opportunity for some dedicated Pain Management time
  • Call scheduled quarterly; approximately 1 : 10, 2-3 call days per month
  • Typical shift M-F, 7 : 30am-3 : 30pm, 1 holiday shift per year
  • Up to $200K in loan repayment opportunity available

Qualifications :

  • MD or DO degree
  • BE / BC Anesthesiology
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.

    Pay : Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

    Paid Time Off : 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). In addition, there is an opportunity for Paid Parental Leave

    Retirement : Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

    Insurance : Federal health / vision / dental / term life (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)

    CME : Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
