Senior System Development Engineer, Payload Antenna Team

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Senior System Development Engineer, you will be responsible for integration, simulation, and test of state-of-the-art space borne phased array systems. You will work internally and cross-functionally with a multi-disciplinary team to improve test speed and data collection, perform root cause analysis, and correlate test data with end-to-end system level simulations.

Key job responsibilities

• Measure, validate, and perform root cause analysis on phased array systems and sub-systems
• Interface with standard RF equipment to enable automation and efficient data collection
• Create and / or modify new software features to enable testing of standard phased array system metrics such as EIRP, EVM, and G / T
• Act as a liaison with the Kuiper software team to drive new product requirements based on RF system test needs
• Perform end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of digital phased array systems

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, digital signal processing, RF / Microwave Engineering, Antennas and Electromagnetic theory

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - MS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of professional experience or PhD with 5+ years of professional experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
