Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare professional specializing in speech-language pathology is sought for a contract position serving elementary students in the East Palo Alto, CA area. This opportunity focuses on pediatric caseloads across multiple school sites including Santa Clara (Zip 95051), Fremont (Zip 94537), and Palo Alto (Zip 94302). The contract is for the current school year with an immediate start and runs through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students in grades K5.
  • Provide direct therapy services to an average caseload of approximately 30 students.
  • Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings if credentialed as an SLP.
  • Document and maintain accurate records using district-specific IEP systems, with training provided.
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement effective communication plans.
  • Participate in paid team meetings and utilize allotted administrative time effectively.
  • Provide supervision if applicable (SLP, OT, PT).

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license.
  • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric and school-age populations.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and caseload management.
  • Ability to work itinerantly among multiple elementary schools with paid travel time.
  • Completion of fingerprinting and clearance requirements.
  • This contract position offers a structured caseload model with dedicated therapy space provided. Hours expected are 40 per week, delivering specialized pediatric speech-language services in the school setting.
