Lead CAD Tech

Our company is a leading civil infrastructure contractor specializing in underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drain) and mass excavation for residential, multi-family, and commercial site development projects. We’re seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician to lead our CAD department and support our field teams with accurate and timely drawings, including as-builts, utility layouts, and grading plans .

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage a small team of CAD Technicians, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely deliverables.
• Create, update, and maintain civil utility and excavation drawings (water, sewer, storm drain, grading, erosion control, etc.).
• Develop and oversee as-built drawings for completed projects.
• Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to ensure drawings align with field conditions and design intent.
• Implement CAD standards, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency across the department.
• Coordinate with survey teams for data import / export and drawing integration.
