Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
- Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
- Adjusts complaints of patrons.
- Provides prompt and courteous service to patrons.
- Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
- Computes bills, itemizes lists and balances tickets.
- Makes change, cashes checks and issues receipts or tickets to patrons.
- Records amounts received and prepare reports of transactions.
- Reads and records total shown on cash register tape and verify it against cash on hand.
- Quotes prices and describes features of items for which money is received.
- Gives cash refunds or issues credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications :
Some experience in the restaurant or food service area preferred. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug / alcohol screen and background investigation.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications :
Knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations and customer service.Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages and deserts.Ability to provide excellent customer service.Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with other staff and general public.Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
