Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the chemical or petrochemical location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues found during patrols within the location. Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related needs and concerns. Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols related to chemical or petrochemical environments, including the use of personal protective equipment when required. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Unarmed Post
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Post in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol chemical and petrochemical locations, conducting regular patrols and staying visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and strong communication while supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. This is a primarily driving post, so you will play a key role in responding quickly to situations across the location.
