Summary

The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic partner to leadership and employees, providing advanced HR expertise across the full employee lifecycle — including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. This role plays a critical leadership function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring HR strategies align with operational goals, regulatory compliance, and the company's mission and values.

The Senior HR Generalist will independently lead key HR initiatives, partner with management to develop workforce strategies, and act as a subject matter expert in California labor law and HR best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic full-cycle recruitment for hourly production, skilled trades, and salaried roles.
• Partner with department heads and facility leadership to drive talent acquisition, workforce planning, and succession management strategies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee and improve HR programs including benefits, attendance, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and HRIS data integrity.
• Ensure consistent compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, especially California labor laws.
• Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture.
• Partner with leadership on performance management, compensation reviews, and development planning.
• Analyze and present HR metrics (turnover, headcount, engagement, recruitment trends) to identify opportunities for improvement and guide business decisions.
• Manage HR audits, reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Provide multi-site HR leadership and remote workforce support.
• Mentor and coach junior HR staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
