Quanex is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Akron, OH.
As an Accounts Payable Specialist , you will be responsible for performing all duties necessary to process accounts payable invoices for AP and payment processing via SAP Concur Travel and Expense processing software, ACH transactions via automated upload to band software, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and special projects as assigned.

Receives and processes vendor invoices in multiple ERP systemsResponsible for processing employee expenses in SAP Concur Travel and Expense Software (includes review of all expense reports and related receipt support for compliance with Quanex travel policy, electronic communication of expectations, and audits of same as well as payment processing via ACH checkMatches all checks and ACFH transfer advices with the supporting invoice detail to validate payment accuracyMaintains electronic AP files for retentionPerforms General Ledger / Monthly closing activities related to accounts payable, including preparation of entry of all assigned journal entries and completion of closing checklist and other supporting documentation, in a timely mannerWhat You Bring :
A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting (AP) experience or proven ability of sameExcellent general PC software skills to include all Microsoft Office, Excel, Certify and other banking or proprietary software necessary to complete assigned tasksThe ability to work independently in a fast paced high volume environmentProfessional written, verbal and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management skills, and attention to detailProficient data entry and ten-key skillsSerious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting deadlinesThe hourly range for this position is $19.60 to $24.50 plus bonus potential.
